Audi Leads With Audi A3 Saloon

Rave reviews were in store for the Audi A3 Saloon in the October issue of What Car. Audi's 2013 A3 Saloon has beat out other likeminded executive compact vehicles such as BMW's 320d Efficient Dynamics, the Lexus IS 300h SE, and the Mercedes-Benz CLA 220 CDI Sport.

Considered an epitome of both performance and price, What Car notes the A3 Saloon's ability to demonstrate the "magnitude of Audi's achievement". Looks-wise, it certainly measures up; its handling, motorway ride, and safety kit were also praised. Though the driving experience offered by the BMW 320d did not differ too much from the A3 Saloon, the reviewer observes the additional costs of performance-upping factors such as the Adaptive M Sport suspension. The tax advantages of the manual gearbox option in the A3 Saloon-unseen in the other cars-also proved to be a plus, adding financial flexibility on top of value.

Having surpassed BMW as the go-to choice in the field of executive compact vehicles, this particular triumph marks a possible new chapter for Audi. Congratulations to all involved!
